Chris Wright en de rellen in Engeland

Chris Wright schreef een nieuw boek - The Mission of Gods People.

In 2006 schreef hij The Mission of God.

Once upon a time there where certain banks who, through their own great folly, found themselves in danger of collapse under mountains of toxic debt that they could not repay or even understand. So they went to their governments, who had mercy on them and took their debts away with thousands of billions of dollars and pounds (PK: and euros) taken from their tax-payers. Then those same bankts came accross many individuals whose taxes had rescued them, who owed them small debts of a few thousand dollars or pounds (PK: or euros), but they showed no mercy at all and took awaay their homes because they couldn't pay up. Which goes to show that redemption in our fallen world seems to work very nicely for the rich and the powerful but is hard to come by if you're poor. Jesus' idea of redemption in the kingdom of God operates differently.
